Retired MLB Star Johnny Damons Lavish Mansion Hits Market at 30 Million (1)

In a grand unveiling, retired MLB sensation Johnny Damon puts his spectacular Windermere mansion on the market, commanding an astounding $30 million. Nestled in the Orlando suburb, this expansive property spans nearly five-acre properties with 540 feet (0.16 km) of Lake Butler frontage, presenting an adult playground of unparalleled luxury.

As reported by The Wall Street Journal, Damon and his wife, Michelle, secured the land in 2007 for $4 million, and the 30,000-square-foot mansion reached completion in 2010. No expense was spared in its construction, showcasing a commitment to luxury and style.

The decision to sell stems from the mansion’s alignment with Johnny’s baseball career, and now, with retirement and grown children, they want to travel more. In Johnny’s words, “I would be lying to you if I said we won’t miss this house, but there are a lot of great things in the world.”

Amid robust luxury property demand in the region, a nearby lakefront property sold for $32 million this year, and another is listed at $30 million. According to the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing, Orlando’s luxury single-family homes maintained a median of $1.3 million in October, mirroring the previous year.

The Damon residence boasts nine bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, and a suite of amenities, including a personal hair salon, cigar lounge, arcade, sports bar, movie theater, music room, sauna, steam room, and meditation area.

Damon shared with the Wall Street Journal, “You never run out of things to do.”

The exterior resembles a theme park with a sprawling saltwater pool, grotto, spa, slide, and a unique swim-up hibachi grill and bar. The grounds feature tennis, basketball, sand volleyball courts, and even a zip line, creating an adult playground in the heart of Florida.
